A day at home Hooray

18.13
A day at home! Hooray! Seeing Toyah tonight! Yippee! That life could be this good all the time. We are meeting at Chez Horse in Chiswick. There is a history of Prog Rock on Radio Two from 19.30 so I shall drive up listening to this with some interest.

Last night was very cold & this morning I opened the curtains & shutters to a blanket of snow, still falling. It lay heavily but melted through the morning & is now mostly clear. Backtracking:

Friday: A KC tour meeting with Richard Chadwick & Laurie (KC's new tour manager) at Opium's offices in Holland Park. Then to DGM World Central where David Singleton was in fine vision form, having new insights into the future of the music industry. Hugh has designed a good cover for the Club Sampler to be sold at KC gigs.

Then home via Witchampton churchyard, with flowers from Minster Florists on Parents' grave. Turning south, there is Fernhill House, my home from 1980 to 1987. Then to the church door, where Toyah & I were married on May 16th. 1986. Then up the sloping path where we brought my Father in 1985 & Mother in 1993. All of this fresh in memory. Then here to Deepest Dorset.

Michael the Painter came at 13:53 to discuss work to improve our home's appearance. "Small additional increments are transformative" I recall. A little all the time and one day we discover a huge change has taken place without us being aware of it.
